Gatehouse Press

Gatehouse Press is a publishing house based in Norwich. Created in 2006, its aim is to support new writers, primarily through publishing poetry and short story.

Their talented team works hard to create and maintain a level of quality that remains unrivalled. Their books get great feedback and are reviewed by some of Norfolk’s top writers.

Brief

Norwich Designer were asked by Managing Director Tom Corbett to create a new website for Gatehouse Press. The previous website was old and the information on it was out of date. They desperately needed to launch a new website in time for the launch of their latest book.

Solution

Norwich Designer installed WordPress to handle the new content and created a custom theme based on the branding originally created for Gatehouse Press. The theme includes custom widgets to enable events and email alerts to be added. A basic PayPal shopping cart was also installed which enables the user to buy books directly from the website.

Result

The website continues to generate interest locally and nationally. Website statistics are tracked via Google Analytics, this information is used to improve the website.
