Norfolk Wherry Brass

Norfolk Wherry Brass was formed in 2004 by a group of musicians from across East Anglia. The band is located in Neatishead, Norfolk, at one of the most unique, eco-friendly and state-of-the-art village halls in Great Britain, the New Victory Hall.

Brief

Norwich Designer were tasked with creating a new website for the band. The website was in need of bringing into the 21st century. The band needed a place to post news, events and pictures.

Solution

Norwich Designer created a WordPress website using a custom theme designed from scratch. Updating the news and events pages are as easy as updating a blog, and the photo gallery works like a treat. A contact form was created which includes a basic security feature to filter out spam messages. Norwich Designer also gave the band a social networking presence on Twitter and Facebook, which takes news feeds from the website to update those social networks automatically.

Result

Many brass band websites look tired and outdated but Norfolk Wherry Brass now stands out as a smart, neatly laid out website with lots of content. The band are thrilled with their website.
