Bradford based West Yorkshire Brass is a traditional style brass band which was formed over 20 years ago.

A lot of members of the band also play for the Horsforth Leeds City Band and, after seeing our work for that band, were keen to get us on board to help them set up a beautifully formed new website.

We looked for inspiration from some well known brass bands, as well as other similar sized bands to see what people generally did with their band websites. The band wanted to be able to provide news and profiles of their members to help provide potential new members with more information and to make them feel welcome.

What we did was provide them with an easy to use website from the points of view of both visitors viewing the website and band members updating it. The band already had a well established identity with a strong red and gold colour scheme for their uniforms, so we decided to stick with this to create an elegant and attractive website. behind the scenes, the website is maintained using a heavily customised version of the Website Baker content management system to make adding new content very easy.

As part of the package, we set up Twitter and Flickr profiles for the band.
